From Rizz to Skibidi to Sigma, every 9–11-year-old across America has said gen alpha words. It started around 2021, when Kai Cenat said the word “rizz”. It quickly spread across America, eventually leading up to what we have now: Skibidi Toilet, TikTok memes, and more “coded” words than ever to confuse adults.
But has it gone too far? Many adults say yes. I am a kid. This is my side of the debate.
1: Brainrot has gone too far. When I came to school one day, kids were talking about “You can’t get a job in Ohio,” and “Nah, bro wishes he had rizz!”. Okay, I admit that I am gen alpha and I can understand the meaning of what they’re saying. But they’re saying it too much.
YouTube is linked to this in a big way. Kids watch YouTube short which consist of a lot of bad ideas and crazy achievements. But mostly they’re BRAINROT. I swear 1 out of every 3 shorts has Brainrot in it. It’s not only shorts. Many full-length videos are about extremely gen-alpha thing.
2: Kids spread Brainrot in school. Schools were *Free of Brainrot* until 2021, when 4th and 5th graders watched some videos on YouTube and spread the gen-alpha propaganda. Even 4 years later, kids still have Brainrot to share. Kids not addicted to Brainrot-ing have gotten pulled in by the rest.
I conclude with the fact that Brainrot has gone too far. What do you think?
